Power is proud to announce that it has opened a new division that will perform small to medium size construction projects. In the past several years Power has provided construction support employees, from skilled tradesmen to project managers, to various clients including federal agencies and commercial organizations. As a result of this experience Power recognized that there was a need for a construction entity in southern Nevada that could deliver the same level of timely and exemplary customer service that our current clients enjoy. Power has begun its construction division with tenant improvement, remodeling and landscaping projects for local commercial clients and federal agencies in southern Nevada and northern California (including the Department of Energy and the Army Corps of Engineers). As this division continues to grow we will be adding larger projects to our list of available services.
This new division will be led by Power’s Construction Manager, Gary Greenwalt. Mr. Greenwalt is a licensed general contractor in Nevada, California, and Alaska with pending applications in several other states, and has been involved in all levels of construction for more than 25 years. He has worked in various capacities on federal and commercial construction projects with a proven record as the Senior Project/Construction Manager and the QA/QC Manager for significant federal projects. Most recent among his assignments were Project Manager for the construction of the Arrival/Departure Army Control Group Facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Project/QC Manager for the Creech Air Force Base Squadron Operations/Predator Maintenance Facility in Indian Springs, Nevada. All his projects have been completed pursuant to stated specifications and within the time and budget constraints established by the client.
As a result of his federal construction experience, Mr. Greenwalt brings to the table not only project management skills but knowledge and expertise in pre-construction estimating, the application and implementation of Davis-Bacon regulations and wage determinations, sub-contractor selection and management, the procurement of materials and equipment, experience and special training in hazardous materials and waste handling, OSHA construction requirements, and QA/QC regulatory compliance and permitting.
